Mrs. Jean Hagood was born in Macon, Georgia. She has been a resident of Bibb County for more than 60 years. She is currently serving as Chairman of the Macon-Bibb County Board of Assessors. Ms. Hagood retired from the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center in 1999. She achieved the rank of GS-15, and her final assignment at Robins Air force was Director of Environmental Management.Mrs. Hagood is married to Kenneth D. Hagood who is retired from the Macon Police Department. Mrs. Hagood has one daughter, Kelly H. Burke, who heads the Science Department at Woodstock High School. She has two grandchildren, Adam and Katie Burke, and a son-in-law, David Burke.

Member of the Riverside United Methodist Church, served as Chairperson of the Staff/Parish Committee, served as a Church Trustee, member of the Finance Committee and President of the Woodruff Sunday School Class; served as the Chairperson of the Robins Combined Federal Campaign; President of the Bowden Ladies Golf Association and is serving on the Georgia Senior Women’s Golf Association Board.
