Yvonne Holmes

Mrs. Yvonne Holmes was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (home of the Pittsburgh Steelers). She graduated from Peabody High School in 1968. After graduating from high school, she worked for Bell of Pennsylvania 1968-1972. She graduated from East Texas Bible College (formerly MVBC of Arizona) in the summer of 1972 studying in ministry. Mrs. Holmes is married to Horace Holmes, Jr. the love of her life and best friend who owned and operated Horace Holmes Photography Studio, Inc., on Cotton Avenue downtown Macon, Georgia he works for United Way of Macon and serves in the Macon-Bibb County community with various events and projects, they have been married for 50+years. Mrs. Holmes has a daughter, Yvette E. Greene who is a manager in retail sales while earning her Master’s degree and one son Andrae’ E. Holmes who is in Law Enforcement, one grandson Riccardo “R. J.” Greene, Jr., and a son-in-love, Riccardo Greene, Sr. She has been a resident of Bibb County for 50 plus years. Mrs. Holmes has been appointed by the Macon-Bibb County Commission to serve as member of The Macon-Bibb County Board of Assessors.

She served as member of The Macon-Bibb County Board of Equalization from 2021-2023. She has retired from Horace Holmes Photographic Artist Studio in Macon, Georgia from July 1989 until July 2009 as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Manager. She worked for First Liberty Bank and Georgia Bank as an Assistant Auditor, Assistant Banking and Finance Officer, Mortgage Loans, Customer Service Representative and Teller from September 1978 to 1989 in Macon Georgia and for Georgia Bank of Macon, Georgia 1973-1977. Mrs. Holmes is a Professional Photographers Association of America Photographic Craftsman, PPA Instructor and PPA Approved Business Instructor. Graduate of Professional Photographers of America Leadership Training 2000, Mrs. Holmes served as Chair of Professional Photographers of America annual conventions/volunteers for 4 consecutive years. She earned a service degree for the Professional Photographers Minority Network. Her honors have been Woman of Achievement (Macon Business Woman Owners) 1991-1992, Professional Photographers of America National Award 1995 and Professional Photographers of America Director’s Award 2010. Mrs. Holmes served as Board member for Macon Volunteer Clinic in its infancy from 2003-2008.

Along with her husband Horace she served as Pastor of World Changers Church Macon from 2009 until 2021 they are both licensed and ordained. Mrs. Holmes is currently Vice President of Horace Holmes Ministries, Inc.

Member of World Changers Church International in College Park, Georgia and member of Creflo Dollar Ministerial Association (CDMA) where she served in numerous departments.

Mrs. Holmes favorite things to do are: being with family, watching and attending Pittsburgh Steelers football games (Live hard fan!), serving in the community, meeting new people, reading, music, dancing, playing board games, traveling and enjoying life to the fullest with a smile.
